This $25.9M project included new construction and renovations on all four schools in the District with funding coming from multiple resources. Funding sources included bond sales (including the State matching grant and bond premiums), a Seismic State Grant, SB 1149 funding, an Energy Savings Grant, a State CTE Grant, and a Measure 98 Grant.
The high school’s scope of work included a renovation of 12,000 sq. ft. of the existing facility, a 2-story, 37,000 sq. ft. addition, a full remodel to the culinary classroom, a new wood/metal shop covered exterior structure, and new landscaping surrounding the school.
The middle school’s scope included seismic structural upgrades to the existing gym and adjacent structure and replacement of wood-shingled siding. We upgraded both the middle and elementary school entry lobbies to improve the safety and security of students and faculty as well as ADA upgrades. Additional work included resurfacing parking lots, erecting a covered play structure, and demolition of an existing wing on the high school. deChase was hired by the Junction City School District as the Owner's Representative in the capital improvements, repairs, and maintenance for new and existing facilities.
